For your relaxation and enjoyment, we serve your favorite beer, liquor, soda, snacks, not hot sandwiches and pizza, but a "full menu." Off Sale is available. Licences, tackle and souvenirs may be purchased at the Lodge. Play a game of pool, play a friendly game of cards, throw some darts or watch Satellite TV on our large TV in the Lounge or just enjoy exchanging stories with old and new found friends. For a change of pace, take a leisurely stroll on Oak Island or take one of the small boats and explore some of the quiet coves and bays.
The Islands of Lake of the Woods provide sheltered waters and excellent fishing holes.
Test your fishing skills in the myriads of rocky bays, sandy coves, reefs and weed beds. We offer you an excellent opportunity for diversified fishing. Walleye, one of the most sought after fresh water fish due to its unsurpassed eating quality, are abundant in Lake of the Woods. Looking for hard fast action? Try your hand at Northern fishing. These aggressive fighters commonly top out at 10 pounds or more. Pound for pound, the Smallmouth Bass is one of the greatest acrobats and fighters of the fishing world. Try any of the reefs and weed bed lines for lots of action. Yes we also have the King of freshwater fish. The Muskie with it's hard fight and large size are waiting for anyone who dares to throw a lure into it's domain.
Our Fishing Boats are quality, deep vee aluminum boats equipped with a 40 HP Yamaha outboard motors. Boats are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your fishing pleasure. Included is one tank of gas per day. Also included are landing nets, minnow buckets and Coast Guard approved life jackets and cushions. Guide services are available upon request.
After returning from a successful day of fishing, we offer a screened-in fish cleaning house. You may personally filet your fish or for a nominal fee, our staff will filet for you. We offer our guests complimentary packaging, freezing and tagging of fish.

Oak Island Adventure Packages
These packages begin with dinner and lodging at Sportsman's Rainy River. The next day, after a hearty breakfast, you board one of our charter boats and fish your way across the lake to Oak Island. You stay on the island, your meals and lodging there are included. The next day you board your charter and fish your way back.
Adventure Package - 3 Nights / 2 Days
This package begins with dinner, lodging and breakfast at Sportsman's Rainy River. The next day, you and your guide will fish across the lake to Oak Island in one of our 27' Sports craft boats, lunch and a soft drinks provided. Arriving at Oak Island, you will enjoy an island evening that includes dinner and lodging. The second morning after a hearty breakfast, your fishing adventure continues across the lake with lunch and soft drinks provided. At the end of the day you will arrive at Sportsman's Rainy River to complete your adventure.

Deposit Policy
We require a $100 deposit per guest for all reservations. Reservations will not be held more than 10 days without deposit. Deposits are nonrefundable but transferable within the season. Guests will be expected to pay for what they reserve. We do not refund for early departure or lesser number of people.
